Waking up Friday of a long weekend.
Getting a phone call first thing from your mom asking if you'd like her to pull a steak for you for dinner (my mom marinates fillet mignon alllllll day, freaking like butter when bbq'd...
Leaving work early of a long weekend.
Having a friend text you that she's on the opposite end, on another ferry - and let's wave to each other when they pass! (That was seriously awesome in a weird way!)
Hugs from moms.
First Friday afternoon drink with the parents.
Figuring out weekend plans.
Living said plans which include visiting with your sisters. Playing with your friend's kids. Patio lunches with said friends. Getting drunken texts from other friends who are mad they keep missing you. A few drinks with old/new friends. Dancing. Running every morning, even with a slight hangover, cause the weather is WAY better than anticipated! More patios, a GOOD chunk of relaxation time and a fun ending of more patio and visiting with family.
Another text asking what ferry I'm on - so we can wave again :)
Then finishing up the weekend playing fun sports in the cold wind with a HUGE team of fun fun people.
I love long weekends. Can't we have another one soon please??? :)
